Band Studio
Releases
A release is the container you publish your music in — an album, EP, single, split, or compilation. Releases collect recordings into a track listing and present them with artwork to your audience.
Creating a release
Go to Band Studio → Releases → New Release. Choose the release type:
- Album — a full-length collection
- EP — a shorter collection (typically 3–6 tracks)
- Single — one or two tracks
- Split — shared with another band
- Compilation — a curated collection
Adding tracks
Once the release exists, add recordings to its track list. Order them as you want them to play. Only recordings that have been created and have uploaded audio can be added.
Release artwork
Upload cover artwork for your release. This image appears on your release page, in discovery results, and on the player. Square images work best (minimum 800×800 recommended).
Publishing
When your release is ready — tracks ordered, artwork uploaded — hit "Publish Now". This immediately makes the release and all its recordings available to listeners. Published recordings become playable site-wide.
Tip: You can't unpublish individual recordings once a release is live, but you can archive the entire release if needed.
XLSX Import/Export
For bands with large catalogs, Studio supports bulk import via XLSX spreadsheets. Export your current catalog to see the format, fill in new entries, and re-import. This is useful for migrating existing discographies.
