Getting Started
For Artists
Underground Platform puts you in control of your music and identity. Here's everything you need to know to go from registration to a published catalog.
Create your account
Register and select "Artist" as your account type. Verify your email to activate full access. If you already have a Listener account, you can upgrade it to Artist from your account settings without starting over.
Create your first band
Once logged in, open Studio and click "Create Band". Give it a name — you can set up the full profile later. Solo projects work the same way: create a band with yourself as the only member.
Tip: You can manage multiple bands from the same account. Switch between them in Studio.
The onboarding checklist
Studio shows a checklist to guide you through the essentials: upload your first song, create a recording, build a release, add artwork, and publish. Complete each step at your own pace.
Publish your music
The publishing workflow follows this sequence:
- Create songs (compositions with title, lyrics, metadata)
- Create recordings (audio versions of your songs)
- Set a playback source (YouTube link) for each recording
- Create a release (album, EP, single, etc.) and add tracks
- Upload artwork for the release
- Hit "Publish Now" — your release goes live immediately
Tip: Publishing a release automatically publishes its recordings and finalizes its compositions.
Set up your band profile
Go to Band Studio → Profile to add your bio, genres, tags, country, logo, header image, external links, and lineup. Once you're happy with it, publish your profile — this makes your band visible in Discover.
Live events
Create events from Band Studio → Live Events. Select a venue (either one registered on the platform or enter details manually), set the date, add participating bands, upload a poster, and publish.
Invite members, manage your team
Invite other artists to your band from Band Studio → Members. They'll receive an email invitation. Once accepted, assign them a role: Admin, Editor, Analyst, or Member. Each role has different permissions in the studio.
